Exciting news! The Government of Assam has finished the online application for 12,600 Grade III and Grade IV jobs in different departments. These positions? They will be filled through a written exam, followed by a skill test or even a viva for each category. A merit list will be made from how well candidates do in these tests. Guess what? The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has shared the official syllabus for the written exams of Class III and Class IV for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023-2024! If you’re getting ready for this exam, keep reading to find all the info you need.


ADRE Syllabus for Class III Posts

Here’s how the syllabus for Class III (Grade III) posts looks, as shared by SLRC:

  • Post Name: Class III or Grade III
  • Total Posts Available: 7,600
  • Languages Available for Question Paper: Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo, & Hindi.
  • Negative Marking Alert!: You lose 1/4th of the marks if you’re wrong. For instance, if you answer a 1-mark question incorrectly, it’s minus 0.25. Ouch!
  • Selection Process: If you pass the written exam, you’ll get called for an interview, as mentioned by HCM.

Class III/Grade III (HSLC) Syllabus Details

For those posts needing at least an HSLC qualification (Driver posts):

  • Type of Exam: Written (Offline)
  • Type of Questions: Objective MCQs

  • Total Posts Open: There are around 5,000.
    • For just Class VIII pass – that’s 1,950 posts.
    • HSLC pass gets you another chunk with 1,060 posts.
    • And if you’ve got HSLC + ITI qualifications – that’s more like 1,990 posts!

There are two kinds of candidates here:

  1. Those who finished up to Class VIII.
  2. And those who went on to complete HSLC or got that ITI certification.

Here are some details:

  • Exam Type: You guessed it—Written (Offline)
  • Question Type: Objective Style
  • Total Number of Questions: Just like before – it’s 135!
    • What about max marks? Also a neat little 135.
    • Your time limit here is cut when it comes to duration – only two and a half hours.

Oh! One more thing – be cautious about wrong answers again since it’ll cost you – minus .25 marks.
