Assam Police Admit Card 2024 The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has announced the recruitment of 5563 posts under various departments such as Assam Police, APRO, Assam Commando Battalions, DGCD & CGHG, Prison Department, and the Directorate of Forensic Science. The online application process for these posts concluded between 5th October and 1st November 2023.

The next phase of the selection process, the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), will begin from 3rd October 2024. Candidates who have already submitted their applications are advised to download their admit cards once they are released by SLPRB.

Selection Process for Assam Police Recruitment

The selection process for Assam Police Constable Recruitment (and other posts) consists of several stages:

  1. Document Verification: Before PST/PET, candidates must present original documents for verification. Any discrepancies will result in rejection.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): This includes checking the height, weight, and chest measurements (for males). Other checks include vision, knock knee, and physical deformities.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The PET consists of the following events:
    • Race:
      • Male: 3200 meters in 14 minutes
      • Female: 1600 meters in 8 minutes
    • Long Jump:
      • Male: Minimum 335 cm
      • Female: Minimum 244 cm
    • Chin-Up (Male): Marks are awarded based on the number of chin-ups performed.
  4. Written Test: After clearing the PST/PET, candidates will appear for the written test which includes:
    • 100 multiple-choice questions
    • Subjects: Arithmetic, General English, Logical Reasoning, Assam’s History & Geography, General Knowledge, Current Affairs
    • Total marks: 50
    • No negative marking
  5. Merit List: Candidates will be called for the written test based on their PET scores. A merit list will be prepared for each category based on the PET percentage.
